Leaving the game to avoid administrative action is strictly prohibited. This results in a ban that is appealable after 60 days.
Joining the game without any intention of engaging in roleplay is not allowed. You must participate in roleplay scenarios.
Misusing in-game tools (e.g. spamming cones/barriers, random shooting) to disrupt gameplay or roleplay is not allowed. Repeated abuse may result in a ban.
Arresting users via the "Arrest" button instead of driving them to the station or taking them to court is prohibited. Proper roleplay is required.
After dying, you must forget previous events and not return to the same scene.
Committing offenses in high amounts (e.g. mass killing, mass blockades) is prohibited.
Simply, be respectful to all users in-game and in the Discord server. Be mindful of statements you are going to make.
All assets marked with "WL" next to them have certain requirements to be used. You can typically find more information in the department associated with the asset.
Violence in marked safe zones requires a valid roleplay reason. Ongoing roleplay scenes may continue in safe zones if started elsewhere.
As stated in General Rule 7, before sentencing a criminal to jail, they must be given either a court trial or taken to an appropriate station/jail location. This includes driving them to these locations and giving them fair trial.
When performing a pit maneuver, you must have a valid reason. This includes the driver driving extremely erratically, shooting at law enforcement officers, or refusing to follow orders. This step must only be taken in attempts to end the pursuit.
Criminals can only be tased when they are attempting to flee on foot, attempt to pull out a weapon, or are attempting to attack an officer with a non-lethal weapon. Officers are to carry a taser on them at all times when on-duty.
Lethal weapons are only to be used to stop/disable a criminal from shooting an officer, take down violent assailants refusing to cooperate or posing a threat to the public. Weapons should be holstered or stored unless required for lethal force.
Using non-lethal weapons, like pepper spray or a taser, is the default method to take down an assailant who does not pose much of a threat or is refusing to cooperate. Officers must carry at least one non-lethal weapon on duty.
Pursuits should only be engaged if a driver is fleeing from a traffic stop, refusing to pull over, or suspected of illegal actions or items. There should always be a leading vehicle in pursuits.
Always use fire hoses attached to fire apparatus for realism and professionalism. The Simple Hose should only be used in rare, specific circumstances. Using it unnecessarily lowers roleplay quality and may result in removal from the fire team.
Select a vehicle with a livery that is not already in use by another member. If all liveries are taken, switch to a different vehicle with available options. Our system will notify you if you select a livery that was already equipped by someone else before you.
Respect the chain of command: follow the highest in-game rank or, if present, the highest WL fire department member. The highest in-game rank should defer to the highest Discord fire department member. On scene, always follow the designated command and cooperate with operational instructions for effective teamwork.
Use liveries appropriate for your rank, liuetenant uses a liuetenant livery, etc. Avoid the standard livery; our system will ask you to change if you use it. WL liveries are strictly for whitelisted personnel only.
Use all tools as intended for realistic roleplay; spreaders for vehicle extrication, halligans for breaching, etc. Equip SCBA and fire gear only when needed, not while on standby. Do not misuse tools for unrealistic actions (e.g. chainsaws for injuries, pike poles for combat). Always use the right tool for the situation and equip gear when arriving on scene.
Wear uniforms that match your rank or task. Use station gear while in station or on standby, and full turnout gear when responding to incidents. Do not use WL uniforms unless you are whitelisted for that department.
Use ELS and Federal-Q sirens only when responding to scenes or during emergencies. Sirens should be reserved for time-sensitive or high-priority calls; otherwise, use ELS only. Do not spam the horn or siren, use them only to alert traffic, cross intersections, or signal priority as needed.
Actively participate in all scenes. Do not stand idle while others work or interfere with ongoing operations (e.g. retracting hoses in use). Always act professionally, efficiently, and support your fellow personnel to ensure high-quality roleplay.
Use your best judgement as EMS or Fire personnel. If a building fire may have victims, respond even if not requested. Do not wait for explicit calls if your presence could help. Fire and EMS should proactively assist scenes and support victims whenever needed.
Use all DOT tools for their intended purpose. Do not block roads with barriers or cones unless you have a genuine reason and proper permissions. Avoid disrupting others' experiences or sabotaging scenes.
Get permission from an admin before starting a DOT construction scene. Only roleplay for the approved time. Continuing after permission expires may result in moderation.
Choose vehicles that fit the job. For example, bring a pickup truck for a fallen tree, not a street sweeper. Use your judgement to select appropriate equipment for each situation.
Only tow vehicles if called, have valid reason, or permission from the owner. Use the correct tow truck and drive responsibly, towing does not grant permission to drive recklessly or ignore traffic laws.
Use Joe's Repair Shop liveries and uniforms only when stationed at a repair shop and acting as a mechanic. Attend repair scenes when called, but do not impound vehicles; impounding is outside your jurisdiction.
In tunnel or border scenes, focus on directing and controlling traffic. Building scenes may be allowed with permission, but most of the time you will work pre-built borders. Ensure smooth traffic flow and safe operations.
Treat everyone with basic respect. No bullying, threats, or personal attacks. If you’re upset, take a breath before replying.
Mild cursing is fine, but don’t go overboard. No slurs, no extreme language, and don’t use profanity to insult others.
Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any kind of discrimination is not allowed. Jokes or memes that target people’s identity will get you heavily moderated.
No sexual content, gore, or disturbing stuff. This includes images, videos, usernames, and messages.
Don’t flood channels with messages, emojis, word walls, pings, or things of that nature. Keep things clean and easy to read.
If a staff member gives you a direction, follow it. If you disagree, talk to them calmly in private. Don’t argue in public chat.
Don’t promote other servers, social media, or products unless staff says it’s okay. No sending ads in DMs either.
Each channel has a purpose. Stay on topic and don’t post random stuff where it doesn’t belong.
Don’t pretend to be staff, another member, or a public figure. Fake names or roles will get you removed.
Use bots and roleplay only where they’re allowed. Don’t spam general chat with commands or scenes.
Don’t stir up fights or bait people into arguments. If you’re here just to cause trouble, you won’t be here long.
Don’t share personal info about yourself or others. Don’t pressure people to talk about things they’re not comfortable with.
Use English in public channels unless there’s a specific space for other languages.
If someone breaks the rules, tell staff privately. Don’t try to handle it yourself or make it worse in chat.
Do not share your account with others. Each member is responsible for their own actions on the server.
Communicate using clear and appropriate language. Refrain from using excessive caps, excessive emojis, or engaging in disruptive shouting.
If you notice a rule violation, report it to the server staff rather than attempting to enforce the rules yourself.
